Home Information Packs
As you may be aware, from the 1 August 2007 government legislation made it illegal to put your home on the market without first commissioning a Home Information Pack. The legislation originally related to houses with 4 bedrooms or more but now affects all properties.
From the 6 April 2009 a completed Home Information Pack will be required from the first day a property is marketed.
In addition the Home Information Pack must contain a new Property Information Questionnaire. This will cover such issues as flood risks, gas and electrical safety, structural damage, parking arrangements, new build information and leasehold information (where applicable).
